Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the market, pipeline, and close deals with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You’ll collaborate with a seller-doer engineer on pricing and technical work, while you drive relationships and revenue growth.

Expect a base salary of $85,000–$115,000 with commissions on collected revenue from accounts you develop; positions are based in Texas with regular local travel and some trips to Sugar Land.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.
• Comfortable talking specs and schedules with supers and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and drive the pursuit from proposal to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry events and report pipeline monthly.
• Travel locally as needed and occasionally to Sugar Land for planning.
