Job summary

FBi Buildings is seeking a Project Sales Consultant to drive growth in the Rockford, IL market. Leverage construction knowledge and local relationships to source and close building-project opportunities with general contractors, architects, and facility owners.

You will collaborate with preconstruction, estimating, operations, and leadership to ensure smooth handoffs from relationship development to project execution, with a compensation mix including base pay plus uncapped commissions and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction, general contracting, post-frame, or building supply.
• Ability to interact with contractors, architects, engineers, developers, or facility owners.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with industry professionals.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage opportunities and follow through.
• Comfortable using CRM tools or willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with general contractors, architects, developers, and industrial owners.
• Stay connected to project pipelines within your territory to develop and close new project contracts.
• Represent FBi at industry events, trade associations, and networking opportunities.
• Identify opportunities where post-frame design-build is a competitive advantage.
• Collaborate with internal teams to pursue projects before they reach open bid.
• Contribute to territory growth planning with leadership.
