Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Construction Field Support to install, configure, and maintain GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment across multiple job sites. The role combines hands-on field work with troubleshooting and training responsibilities to support reliable machine guidance and surveying workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, configuring, and calibrating GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with mechanical, electrical, and machine sensor components in construction environments.
• Experience with GPS platforms such as Trimble, Topcon, or Leica.
• Background in construction surveying and familiarity with field workflows and equipment.
• Strong understanding of coordinate systems, site calibration, and staking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate GPS machine control systems on heavy equipment.
• Perform site localizations with base and rover setups to establish reference systems.
• Diagnose and resolve GPS hardware, sensors, and software issues in the field.
• Train operators and site personnel on hardware, software, and machine guidance systems.
• Maintain routine equipment maintenance, testing, and calibration to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and service teams to support deployments and document activities.
