Job summary

RDO Equipment Co. is seeking a Technology Field Technician to build strong customer relationships through onsite service, installations, and product support across the region.

You will address customer concerns, promote aftermarket sales, and provide technical support to enhance the customer experience. The role includes training operators on Carlson Grade software, installing GPS base stations, and identifying new service opportunities for GNSS, Laser, and 2D/3D Machine Control products.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in an industry-related role with sales, service or training.
• GPS or machine control knowledge preferred but not required.
• Travel ~75%, often by flight, Monday to Friday.
• Strong computer skills are required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite service, installations, and product support across the area of responsibility.
• Install Carlson Machine Control on customer machines; Install GPS base stations.
• Measure and calibrate machines; Train operators on Carlson Grade software.
• Identify new business opportunities for service and repair of GNSS, Laser, 2D and 3D Machine Control products.
• Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble and service equipment as assigned.
• Document machine information and repairs on work orders with parts used.
• Maintain a clean work area and care for tools and equipment.
• Communicate solutions for customer service opportunities within the dealership area.
