Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group is seeking a Construction Expert in Salt Lake City to conduct investigations and evaluations of construction defects. You will review contracts, perform on-site assessments, and report findings while providing expert witness testimony in litigation and insurance claims.

The role requires a PE or GC license and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management, with strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Must possess PE or GC license.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of construction concerns and problems, including active or completed construction projects.
• Perform on-site investigations, review contracts and legal documents, and meticulously report findings.
• Provide expert witness testimony in legal disputes and insurance claims.
• Develop and present clear, concise, and defensible opinions regarding construction defects.
• Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, building codes, and relevant regulations.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
