Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a Construction Expert to conduct investigations and evaluations of complex construction defects, deliver thorough reports, and support litigation and insurance claims with expert testimony.

The role requires on-site investigations, review of contracts and regulatory standards, and the ability to present clear, defendable opinions to clients and stakeholders. A PE or GC license and a relevant engineering or construction management degree are required.

Qualifications

• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of construction concerns and problems, including active or completed projects;
• Review contracts and legal documents and report findings clearly and defensibly;
• Provide expert witness testimony in disputes and insurance claims;
• Develop clear, concise opinions regarding construction defects;
• Collaborate with clients, legal teams and stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes;
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, building codes and regulations;
• Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving and communication skills;
• Demonstrate strong project management across multiple investigations;
• Support the growth and development of the business;
• PE license or GC license is required; Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or construction management
