Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a Construction Expert in Salt Lake City to investigate complex construction defects, analyze issues, and prepare detailed evaluations.

You will conduct on-site investigations, review contracts, provide expert testimony, and collaborate with clients, legal teams, and insurers to support claims.

Ideal candidates hold a PE or GC license and a Bachelor's in engineering, architecture, or construction management, with experience in construction forensics.

Qualifications

• Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or construction management.
• PE or GC license required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of construction concerns and problems, including active or completed construction projects.
• Perform on-site investigations, review contracts and legal documents, and meticulously report findings.
• Provide expert witness testimony in legal disputes and insurance claims.
• Develop and present clear, concise, and defensible opinions regarding construction defects.
• Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, building codes, and relevant regulations.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
