Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group is looking for a Construction Expert to conduct investigations, analyze complex construction concerns, and provide detailed reports and expert testimony. The role involves on-site evaluations, review of contracts and legal documents, and collaboration with clients and legal teams.

The ideal candidate will have a PE or GC license, a bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture/construction management, and extensive experience in construction forensics and reporting.

Qualifications

• PE license or GC license required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Experience in construction forensics, investigations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and evaluations of construction concerns and problems, including active or completed projects.
• Perform on-site investigations, review contracts and legal documents, and report findings.
• Provide expert witness testimony in legal disputes and insurance claims.
• Develop clear, concise, and defensible opinions on construction defects.
• Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain understanding of industry best practices, building codes, and regulations.
