Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group seeks a Construction Expert in Utah to lead investigations into complex construction defects, analyze issues, and deliver comprehensive reports. You will present defensible opinions and provide expert testimony for litigation and insurance claims.

You will review contracts, perform on-site evaluations, and collaborate with clients and legal teams while staying current on industry standards and codes.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or General Contractor (GC) license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple investigations.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of construction concerns and problems, including active or completed projects.
• Perform on-site investigations, review contracts and legal documents, and report findings.
• Provide expert witness testimony in legal disputes and insurance claims.
• Develop and present clear, concise, and defensible opinions on construction defects.
• Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, building codes, and regulations.
