Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a construction laborer to assist skilled craft workers on active jobsites, helping maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Tasks include signaling equipment, leveling earth, mixing and finishing concrete, and assisting with a variety of hand-tool operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 6–12 months of related construction experience. The position involves travel to different jobsites and adhering to all safety policies.

Qualifications

• Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety by following Zero Injury principles.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Perform basic arithmetic and measurement tasks using units, weights, and volumes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with other craft workers on jobsites to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient construction site.
• Signal operators to align, load, offload, and move machinery.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using hand tools.
• Mix, finish and cure concrete using portable mixers and trowels.
• Position and connect pumps, motors, and mechanical parts.
• Apply coatings and sealants to protect surfaces.
• Operate tools for grinding, sanding, and finishing surfaces.
• Perform general site support and maintenance of tools and equipment.
