Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a construction laborer to assist with craft workers on job sites, maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while supporting the overall project.

You will promote safety, complete required documentation, signal equipment operators, level earth, mix and finish concrete, and handle routine maintenance of tools on site. The role may require travel to different jobsites on short notice.

Qualifications

• Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principles
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units, weight measurement and volume
• Ability to understand units of force, pressure and torque and apply appropriate tooling adjustments for each
• Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
• Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards

Responsibilities

• Assist with craft workers and maintain a safe, efficient site.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to guide machinery.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using hand tools.
• Mix concrete or grout using portable mixer.
• Finish freshly poured concrete surfaces.
• Position, join, align and connect pumps and motors.
• Perform general labor and maintenance of tools on site.
• Travel to different jobsites on short notice.
