Job summary

In-N-Out Burger in Baldwin Park, CA is seeking a Fabricator-Installer for the new construction team. This full-time role performs carpentry, welding, installation and repairs in restaurant interiors, reporting to the Fabricator Installer Supervisor.

Expect 80% travel to project sites across states, 4x10 hour days, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with on-call duties and weekend travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Fabrication, technical, and hands‑on training.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in Construction or related fields.
• Experience reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions.
• Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications.
• Proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
• In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
• Quick Service Restaurant or Restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong problem solver; be able to resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
• Communication and project management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good time management; Team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and strong human relations skills.
• Creative problem solving abilities and outstanding organizational skills.
• Strong computer proficiency; Excellent in MS Office applications and Construction Management software (i.e. Smartsheet, Forma (ACC), etc.)

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, prep, assemble and install various substrates in the new store from roughing stage up to preparation for inspections and the new store opening.
• Perform skilled carpentry, welding, installations, modifications, repairs and other related functions to ensure requirements and specifications are met.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams and schematics to determine appropriate welding, fabrication, carpentry and related processes.
• Use, clean and maintain various equipment and tools.
• Complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous work environment.
• Reports and travels daily to the construction project site.
• Administrative duties in the shop, such as stocking inventory, maintaining phone contacts, and completing assigned paperwork.
• Ensure projects are delivered successfully and on time.
• Travel: Approximately 80% of time will be spent in the field traveling and being on project sites in the states where In-N-Out Burger operates: CA, NV, AZ, TX, UT, OR, CO, ID, WA, and TN.
• Travel: Requires out of town and out of state travel 1 week at a time; will stay overnight in a hotel for the week.
• On-call: Be available to assist on emergency store calls

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Fabricator-Installer based in our Baldwin Park, CA office. The Installer is responsible for performing skilled carpentry, welding, installation, and repairs in the construction of the interior of the In-N-Out Burger restaurants. The role reports to the Fabricator Installer Supervisor.

  The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
• Work Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am-4:30 pm
• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
