Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support accounting and finance functions on a project basis. The role covers cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management and compliance, with relocation required for internship across the U.S.

You will assist with month-end close and preparing financial reports for project management. Location varies by project; the assignment location is determined closer to start date and relocation anywhere in the country is

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country for this internship.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; Pivot Tables and V‑Lookup preferred.
• Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports a project in accounting and finance related functions.
• Assist with cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and compliance tasks.
• Participate in month end close out process and financial reporting package prep.
• Learn and apply processes for cost and revenue components across labor, equipment, materials and subcontracts.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of purchasing, billing, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audit and compliance activities.
• Communicate clearly and work with project management teams.
