Full-Time Technician Pay Scale: $31.78/hr to $51.49/hr, DOE + $2.00 (Field Differential)

Responsibilities of a Diesel Field Service Technician

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on construction, agriculture, or power systems.
  • Troubleshoot diesel technology systems and components such as hydraulics, electrical, power trains, etc.
  • Work overtime as workload dictates (anything over 8 hours a day is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment proactively.
  • Work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards and product updates.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Opportunity to travel to other Butler and customer locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for a Field Service Technician

  • Two-year associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent applicable experience.
  • Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory.
  • Trade-specific tooling, including hand and pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain an outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work well without supervision.
  • Proficient in computer technology.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • CDL or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Valid work authorization and ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with quick learning ability.
