Job description

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Bedford, NH

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week (overtime opportunity)

Pay Range: $24 - $36 per hour, depending on experience

Job Description

Join our team as a diesel mechanic responsible for performing complex repairs on large commercial vehicles. Responsibilities include engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs, preventive maintenance, roadside and emergency services, and more. Candidates must have relevant certification or schooling, proven experience, and pass a background check.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform thorough, accurate preventive maintenance inspections
  2. Complete scheduled maintenance such as lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations
  3. Perform unscheduled maintenance under supervision
  4. Execute complex repairs and field tests based on technical drawings and specifications
  5. Provide emergency roadside services as needed
  6. Inspect equipment, diagnose defects, and document repairs accurately
  7. Maintain tools and work areas in a neat and safe condition
  8. Assist with vehicle cleanliness and safety during field trips and events
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic preferred
  • Certification from a recognized school or program preferred
  • Complete all required training
  • Pre-employment background check required
