Builders FirstSource in Eastern Idaho is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to build relationships with residential, multifamily, and commercial customers. You will drive growth by identifying needs, presenting solutions, and managing projects from concept to completion.

The role involves mentoring teammates, leading sales initiatives, and staying current on industry trends through ongoing training. Frequent travel within the territory is expected, with a focus on customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, business, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of successful sales experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong customer-service mindset.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow customer relationships with residential, multifamily, and commercial construction customers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend products and services that provide value and support project success.
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process, ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the territory.
• Prepare and present proposals, product demonstrations, and sales presentations.
• Develop sales contracts and coordinate project specifications between customers and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot field issues while maintaining customer relationships and ensuring project flow.
• Mentor less experienced sales team members and contribute to training initiatives.
• Stay current on industry trends, products, and selling techniques through ongoing training.
