Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an Outside Sales support professional to assist the sales team in selling building products and services to business and industrial customers. You will compile leads, travel within the territory with sales representatives, demonstrate products, and prepare quotes and contracts.

You will enter customer data, track stock, and help resolve delivery issues while supporting trade shows and daily sales activities.

Qualifications

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related selling experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior building materials industry experience preferred.
Must have ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and analyze information to develop solutions.
Ability to sell, meet sales goals, and respond to customer needs with strong communication.

Responsibilities

Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads from diverse information sources.
Regularly travels throughout the assigned territory with outside Sales Representative to solicit orders and advise customers.
Displays or demonstrates product features to emphasize salable attributes.
Quotes prices, prepares sales contracts, and estimates delivery dates.
Enters new customer data and sales data into computer systems; tracks stock levels.
Investigates and resolves customer delivery problems and attends trade shows.
