Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field operations on our Charleston projects. You will supervise trades, manage subcontractors, and ensure work progresses per the project schedule and contract documents.

This hands-on role requires familiarity with safety standards, budgeting, and site leadership. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work extended hours during critical phases.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field or equivalent construction management experience.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and field crews on complex projects.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contracts, equipment, and manpower required.
• Proven safety program implementation and OSHA regulatory knowledge.
• Ability to adhere to Clark Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field operations for assigned trades and project areas.
• Ensure work aligns with contract documents and schedule milestones.
• Supervise field teams and manage subcontractor performance.
• Monitor budgets, costs, and change cost drivers as needed.
• Enforce safety policies and conduct regular inspections.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
