Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC in Los Angeles, CA seeks an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field operations for designated trades, ensuring work aligns with project schedules and safety/quality standards. You will supervise subcontractors, manage budgets, and drive adherence to the contract documents and milestones.

The role requires 3–6+ years in field construction, strong leadership and scheduling skills, and a thorough knowledge of OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field preferred.
• 3–6+ years of field construction experience.
• Ability to direct work of others, including subcontractors and suppliers.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower.
• Strong knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations and implementation on site.
• Alignment to Clark Standards of Excellence: self-motivated, results-oriented, ethical, team player.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation of work per contract docs, schedule and sequence.
• Be aware of milestone dates and requirements to achieve them.
• Know contract documents and scope for assigned areas or trades.
• Develop understanding of activity durations and durations planning.
• Apply equipment knowledge to plan optimum utilization.
• Monitor delivery dates for materials/equipment affecting assigned areas/trades.
• Supervise field workforce for cost-effective placement of work.
• Know the budgets for work being supervised and manage variances.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce company/government standards.
• Proactively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals.
• Recruit top industry talent to join Clark, and retain outstanding people.
• Exceed stakeholder expectations by anticipating needs and goals.
