Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate field operations on a Chicago project. You will ensure work aligns with the contract, schedule, and safety standards while guiding subcontractors and suppliers on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities include supervising installation, monitoring durations, and optimizing equipment use, with emphasis on cost-effective, compliant site execution. Extended hours may be required during critical phases.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related discipline preferred.
• 3–6 years of construction management experience in a field supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to direct the work of others including subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate installation of work per contract documents, schedule, and sequence.
• Know contract documents and scope for assigned areas/trades.
• Develop understanding of activity durations and resource needs.
