Job summary

Alyeska Builders LLC is seeking an Estimating Specialist in Interior Alaska to turn client ideas into well-planned projects through accurate estimates and clear communication. You’ll work with clients, trade partners, vendors, and internal teams to gather details, coordinate bids, and prepare estimates, ensuring a positive client experience and solid project start.

In this role you’ll meet with clients, visit sites, finalize material selections, and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate project estimates, detailed specifications, and material selections.
• Attend client meetings and project site visits to gather information and document details.
• Prepare, send, and follow up on bid requests to trade partners and vendors.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding estimating progress and next steps.
• Coordinate with trade partners, vendors, and internal teams regarding estimates and project progress.
• Maintain thorough records of client communications and estimating activities.
• Create, update, and maintain estimating templates, specification templates, and project schedules.
• Utilize estimating software and current material pricing to develop and review estimates.
• Assist with incoming leads, client inquiries, account setup, scheduling, and general office support.
