Job summary

Cornerstone General Contractors, LLC in Juneau, Alaska, seeks a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating process from review through final pricing and turnover, collaborating with the VP of Preconstruction and operations to win work in Southeast Alaska.

You will build quantity takeoffs, pricing, contingencies, and allowances, develop conceptual estimates, and mentor a team of junior estimators while expanding subcontractor coverage in Juneau and the region.

Qualifications

• Lead assigned vertical commercial estimates from initial review through final pricing, bid review, submission and turnover.
• Develop takeoffs, scope, pricing, allowances, escalation and contingencies.
• Develop conceptual and design-phase estimates when documents are incomplete.
• Lead bid-review meetings and present basis of estimate, opportunities, risks, and pricing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates from review to turnover, partnering with VP of Preconstruction and operations.
• Build quantity takeoffs, scope, pricing, allowances, escalation, and self-perform work where applicable.
• Develop conceptual estimates and document assumptions and gaps.
• Lead estimate and bid-review meetings and present findings.
• Develop subcontractor coverage plans and review subcontractor proposals for scope and price.
