Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator for a permanent role with a nationally recognized firm. You will estimate costs for diverse projects and collaborate with project managers to shape budgets and schedules.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or CM and at least 5 years in construction estimation are required, with experience across hospital, educational, commercial or government sectors. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered, with opportunities to lead estimate

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation.
Proven experience in hospital, higher education, school, commercial, federal or state or government construction, government construction, federal construction, cost estimation, commercial construction, municipal construction, marine construction, restaurant construction, historical construction.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing the materials and labor needed for a project.
Use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
Understand the project/program and its requirements.
Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, or other venues.
Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
Use complex mathematical formulas and models to predict future costs.
Maintain records of estimated and actual costs.
Accurately predict the cost, size, and duration of future construction projects.
Work closely with project managers and directors to create comprehensive action plans.
Present estimates to stakeholders and key decision-makers.
