Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced estimator to support project cost management across construction initiatives. You will perform quantity take-offs, compile pricing data, and help generate Opinions of Probable Cost for design-build efforts.

You will coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to obtain current pricing, prepare procurement documents, and assist in schedule and cost reporting. The role involves mentoring junior staff and ensuring alignment with project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Utilizes Timberline to prepare OPCCs and design-build projects.
• Coordinates pricing with project managers and suppliers; participates in pre-bid walks and Bid-Day tabulations.
• Develops or assists in the development of purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders and cost reports.
• May independently manage small project components and prepares schedules and cost analyses.
