Job summary

Ohio CAT is seeking a motivated Sales Representative specializing in rental equipment sales and the sale of new and used Caterpillar construction equipment. You will drive sales across Seneca, Wyandot, Marion, Crawford, Richland, and Ashland counties, employing a strategic, customer-focused approach to manage your territory and build lasting relationships.

You will identify new opportunities, advise customers with confidence, and negotiate terms that deliver value to both clients and Ohio CAT.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction equipment industry is strongly preferred
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Sell Caterpillar construction equipment and related services.
• Equipment rental sales.
• Manage your territory effectively through strategic planning and execution.
• Build strong customer relationships by demonstrating product knowledge and business insight.
• Negotiate deals that align with both customer needs and company goals.
• Maintain accurate records in Sales Link, including leads, opportunities, and account activities.
• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate quotes, contracts, financial documents, and delivery records.
• Collaborate with factory representatives to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Apply professional sales techniques to overcome objections and highlight product features and benefits.
