Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking enthusiastic interns and entry-level professionals in California. The role supports construction engineering operations, ensuring compliance with standards and assisting with takeoffs, estimates, and documentation.

This position emphasizes hands-on learning with mentorship. Base hourly wage range is $25.00–$26.00; pay varies by experience, location, and education.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and be working towards a bachelor’s degree.
• Field of Study preferred: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design/drawings for takeoff and workforce for bidding and building construction projects.
• Prepare and distribute required documentation such as status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material requirement calculations.
• Provide technical support and direction regarding project materials meeting specifications, delivery dates and schedules.
• Assist with change orders and estimates by preparing drawings and sketches to support estimating and construction work.
• Develop data including quantity take-offs and material pricing for estimates and bids.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities for cost controls on construction projects.
