Granite Construction in Santa Clara, CA invites an Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to assist construction engineering operations. You will interpret drawings, prepare documentation, and support material scheduling and costs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Construction fields; 0–2 years related experience is acceptable. Strong MS Office skills and teamwork are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and be working toward a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to perform trig calculations and interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design/drawings for takeoffs and workforce planning.
• Prepare and distribute documentation such as status reports and punch lists.
• Provide technical support on materials meeting specs and schedules.
• Assist with change orders and estimates by preparing drawings for pricing.
• Develop essential data for quantities and material pricing to support bids.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities and materials installed for cost control.
