Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer I to support four core functions across EPC operations. This remote role involves coordination, data gathering, and documentation, with potential to transition to a permanent position and travel as needed.

The candidate will assist warranty analysis, emerging technologies implementation, field data collection, and pile load testing support during initial design, contributing to design integrity and project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or a closely related technical field (preferred).
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience with guided growth toward independence.
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred or willing to pursue it.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (civil, structural, electrical, geotechnical).
  • Foundational understanding of construction processes and testing practices (pile load testing).
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and rigorous documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily engineering information flow to field teams and manage drawing updates.
  • Manage RFIs: draft questions, gather docs, route to correct discipline, track closure.
  • Interpret and communicate design requirements, SOLV standards, permits and contracts.
  • Maintain document control systems: drawings, data rooms, submittals, versioning.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and identify risks and conflicts.
  • Support comment cycles by compiling logs and summarizing responses.
  • Monitor deliverable timelines and coordinate with internal and external partners.
