Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to support construction projects across the United States. The role requires broad technical and managerial safety expertise and a commitment to improving safety culture within the business unit.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in EH&S and relevant certifications; strong communication skills and collaborative team participation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EH&S related field required.
• Certification such as BCSP GSP/ASP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular job site inspections and mitigate hazards.
• Support incident investigations with data, photos and proper documentation.
• Evaluate planning permits such as Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection for effective mitigation.
• Apply Industrial Hygiene principles (Hearing conservation, Silica, Asbestos, Lead work).
• Understand fire protection and safe storage of flammable/combustible materials.
• Maintain working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
