Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for commercial projects. You will lead safety programs, oversee environmental compliance, and promote a strong safety culture across sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction safety and a BS in EH&S or related field, with OSHA certifications. Travel to project locations may be required as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• Certifications in Environmental, Health, and Safety (e.g., OSHA 500, CHST, ASP/GSP) required.
• CSP designation preferred; bilingual also preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and health and safety standards.
• Proficiency in EH&S management software and tools; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs to comply with OSHA, environmental laws and regulations.
• Ensure activities meet safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Monitor regulatory changes and maintain compliance across sites.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify hazards and environmental impacts.
• Lead safety trainings and incident investigations; drive cultural safety improvements.
• Maintain records for audits and regulatory inspections.
