Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an experienced EH&S Manager to oversee safety and environmental programs across commercial projects. You will ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental laws, lead training initiatives, and drive a culture of safety and sustainability.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in construction safety, 3–20+ years in EH&S management, and a BS in EHS with relevant certifications. Willingness to travel and respond to emergencies is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Certifications in Environmental, Health, and Safety (e.g., OSHA 500, CHST, ASP/GSP) required.
• CSP designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs compliant with OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance across projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits; recommend corrective actions.
• Lead safety training, incident investigations, and reporting to authorities.
• Maintain records of injuries, inspections, and training for audits.
