Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company seeks an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to oversee safety programs on commercial projects. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company policies while promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across sites.

Candidates should have 5+ years in construction safety and 3–20+ years in EH&S, with a Bachelor’s degree and EH&S certifications.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• Certifications in EH&S (OSHA 500, CHST, ASP/GSP) required; CSP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental laws.
• Experience leading safety programs and training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs to meet OSHA and environmental laws.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify hazards.
• Lead safety training and incident investigations; drive corrective actions.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and safety communications.
