Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer for construction projects. You will perform site inspections, support incident investigations, and help implement mitigation strategies across multiple locations.

Bachelor's degree in EH&S and recognized safety credentials are required. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to foster a safe culture on our projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• Recognized safety professional certifications (BCSP GSP/ASP or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular job site inspections to identify hazards and verify corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations including data collection, interviews, photos, and documentation.
• Evaluate planning/permits such as Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, and more for effective mitigation.
• Apply Industrial Hygiene principles to hearing conservation, silica, lead, and other hazards.
• Ensure knowledge and application of OSHA regulations on site and across projects.
• Adapt duties as needed based on site safety requirements.
