Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to oversee safety on construction projects across the United States. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field, plus recognized safety certifications.

You will lead inspections, investigations, and safety planning to mitigate hazards and ensure regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates bring strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to safety culture, with experience in hearing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field is required.
• Professional certification such as GSP/ASP or BCSP preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular job site inspections and document hazardous conditions.
• Support incident investigations with interviews, data, photos, and reports.
• Evaluate planning/permits such as Hot Work, Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc.
• Apply Industrial Hygiene practices for hearing conservation, silica, asbestos, lead work, etc.
• Demonstrate understanding of fire protection and hazardous material storage.
• Maintain working knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety requirements.
