Job summary

SQN Associates, LLC is seeking a Compliance Document Technician to coordinate all aspects of project documents from planning through contract closeout on construction projects and programs.

The role reports to the Project Manager/Resident Engineer and requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Trimble Unity Connect and CMMS. A related bachelor’s degree and IDOT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with document control systems.
• Certified in IDOT’s Documentation of Contract Quantities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated process execution and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage project documents from planning to closeout.
• Process documents and maintain electronic and hard copy control files.
• Scan, index, link and distribute documents in project management systems.
• Support PM/RE with document control and transmittals.
• Review and conduct quality checks of documents.
• Maintain document management logs and matrices.
• Handle other duties as required by project needs.
