CORPORATE RESOURCES OF IL LTD is seeking a Director of Construction to lead operations from handoff to completion. The role drives safety, quality, schedule, and customer experience while coordinating with sales, design, and project management to deliver profitable projects.

The ideal candidate can manage a high-volume environment, develop field teams, and improve processes with a strong focus on financial performance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive construction management experience in a high-volume, quick turnaround environment.
• Experience managing construction teams, subcontractors, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, job costing, quality control, safety, and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Proven ability to identify problems, set priorities, and implement practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction operations and field personnel.
• Coach and develop construction managers, coordinators, and field staff.
• Establish performance expectations and conduct regular reviews.
• Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training of team members.
• Build and maintain a network of qualified subcontractors and trade partners.
• Provide leadership-level reporting on performance, staffing, schedules, and finances.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee construction lifecycle from handoff to final completion.
• Review project docs, scopes, material needs, and ensure field readiness.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings and convey scope, safety, and customer expectations.
• Ensure crews have materials, permits, equipment, and information required.
• Monitor active projects via field visits and reviews.
• Maintain quality-control procedures and safe job sites.
• Coordinate trade sequencing to minimize downtime and maintain momentum.
• Address field issues with corrective actions and closeout activities.
