Job summary

SelectLeaders is seeking a Construction Project Manager, titled Director of Construction, to support planning and execution of commercial and industrial development projects from pre-construction through closeout. The role coordinates consultants and contractors and ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of relevant experience in commercial construction or related field.
• Working knowledge of drawings, specifications, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay apps.
• Ability to organize priorities, maintain records, and follow issues through resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal leaders, consultants, and field personnel.
• Willingness to be based in the Houston office with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Support constructability and risk reviews through pre-construction and construction documents.
• Review drawings and specs to flag coordination gaps and cost/schedule risks.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors across design, permitting, construction, turnover.
• Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and action-item logs.
• Monitor contractor performance against contract, budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
• Maintain project records and provide status updates.
