Job summary

Corporate Resources of Illinois in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Director of Construction to lead the entire project lifecycle from handoff to completion. You will oversee field operations, manage crews and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while controlling costs.

You will collaborate with sales, design, and operations to optimize transitions from Sold work to finished projects, mentor teams, and drive continuous improvements to maximize customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive construction management experience in high-volume environments.
• Experience managing construction teams, subcontractors, and multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, job costing, quality control, safety, and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction operations and field personnel.
• Coach and develop construction managers, coordinators, and field staff.
• Establish performance expectations and conduct regular reviews.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training construction team members.
• Build and maintain a network of qualified subcontractors and trade partners.
• Provide leadership reporting on performance, budgets, and schedules.
• Partner with senior leadership to improve margins and productivity.
