Morton Buildings, Inc. is hiring for a Construction Service Crew Member in Holton, KS. Earn $21.00–$23.00 per hour, with a three-year plan of progressive pay increases based on experience and training. Bonuses include a $500 quarterly retention bonus in the first year and additional quarterly bonuses during the year.

Qualifications

• Experience in building construction, post-frame, carpentry or framing preferred.
• Willingness to participate in a training program.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Able to work 9–10 hours during peak construction season.
• Capable of lifting 50 lb, up to 100 lb occasionally.
• Able to work at heights up to 40 feet.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel about 30% with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings’ safety and construction procedures to every building.
• Read, understand and build according to construction plans.
• Perform repairs and construction tasks including doors, roofing, siding and window work.
• Operate construction tools safely and efficiently.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule and various weather conditions.
• Work with crew members in a safe, productive environment.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems; be willing to advance.
