Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience working within a design-build environment.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a project budget or developing cost models; experience managing project staff is preferred.
• Qualified experience may include work as a development manager, design manager, project manager, or design professional.
• Must have strong interest in construction general contracting and in the design-build delivery process.
• Preferred membership in DBIA or other industry associations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project budget from the start of design to design completion
• Monitor costs and savings associated with ongoing design
• Actively participate in the design process including managing cost input to design
• Provide timely feedback on budget requests from stakeholders both internal and external to the project team
• Actively participate in the design review process including leading stakeholder decision meetings
• Manage the change order process through the design phase of work
• Participate with and support subcontractor purchasing
• Monitor and develop solutions for maintaining contract and program compliance
• Develop detailed budgets from conceptual designs as part of acquisition activities
• Participate in bid submissions and the development of RFP and RFQ responses including providing strategic insights to pursuit strategy
