Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Construction Cost Manager to lead project budgets and costs through design development on nationwide design-build projects. You will drive budget development, monitor costs, manage change orders, and support procurement and design reviews.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in design-build, with experience managing budgets and cost models, and a strong grasp of DBIA practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a design-build environment.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a project budget or developing cost models; staff management preferred.
• Qualified experience may include roles such as development manager, design manager, project manager, or design professional.
• Strong interest in construction general contracting and design-build delivery.
• DBIA membership or other industry associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project budget from the start of design to design completion
• Monitor costs and savings associated with ongoing design
• Actively participate in the design process including managing cost input to design
• Provide timely feedback on budget requests from stakeholders both internal and external to the project team
• Actively participate in the design review process including leading stakeholder decision meetings
• Manage the change order process through the design phase of work
• Participate with and support subcontractor purchasing
• Monitor and develop solutions for maintaining contract and program compliance
• Develop detailed budgets from conceptual designs as part of acquisition activities
• Participate in bid submissions and the development of RFP and RFQ responses including providing strategic insights to pursuit strategy
