Job summary

Clark Construction is hiring a Construction Cost Manager to lead budgeting and cost control for complex design-build projects nationwide. The role coordinates with design teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver budgets from concept through design completion and manages change orders and procurement efforts on active projects.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years in design-build environments, with at least 2 years budgeting experience and a strong ability to work with executives and design

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in a design-build environment.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a project budget or developing cost models in preconstruction; staff management preferred.
• Qualified experience may include development manager, design manager, project manager, or design professional.
• Must have strong interest in construction general contracting and in design-build delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project budget from design start to completion.
• Monitor costs and savings during design.
• Influence design by providing cost input and feedback to stakeholders.
• Lead budget reviews and decision meetings with the project team.
• Manage change orders through the design phase.
• Support subcontractor purchasing and procurement processes.
• Monitor contract and program compliance and report variances.
