Job summary

Turner Construction is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst in Augusta, GA to prepare financial analyses, forecast costs, and audit budgets for assigned projects. The role reports to the Senior Cost Analyst and collaborates with Project Engineers/Managers to validate forecast outcomes and ensure contract alignment.

Key responsibilities include auditing budgets, analyzing variance, and supporting cost control measures on active projects; travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• High degree of organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Financial system applications proficiency and advanced MS Excel.
• Self-starter, adaptable, and flexible to operate with minimal direction and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analyses, reports, and audit forecasts to confirm costs and forecast outcomes.
• Audit budget and forecast accuracy and coordinate with accounting/field teams.
• Assist in budget analysis reports (BARs), CABs, and related cost studies.
• Train and develop staff on cost-analytical processes.
• Visit jobsites to review progress and conditions and discuss findings with project management.
• Ensure proper contract review and risk assessment for potential earnings impact.
