Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an entry-level cost accounting assistant to support financial administration on construction projects in Augusta, GA. You will analyze project data, assist with cost reports, and help ensure compliance with policies.

Responsibilities include AP processing, billings support, and participation in month-end close while collaborating with project teams and SSO. Prior internship or co-op in accounting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of GAAP and financial processes.
• Interest in cost accounting, construction finance, and project-based financial management.
• Basic understanding of AI tools for financial analysis and automation.

• Organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with SAP or other financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial administration and cost accounting on assigned projects.
• Analyze financial data using company systems and support cost reporting.
• Participate in month-end close activities and journal entries.
• Audit and reconcile client bills against the general ledger for accuracy.
• Process accounts payable transactions and review vendor invoices for coding.
• Verify subcontractor compliance and resolve discrepancies in vendor accounts.
• Support project billings, forecasting of GR/GCs, and revenue validation.
• Attend team meetings to optimize financial processes and AI tooling usage.
