Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Finance professional to prepare financial analyses, reports, and forecast audits for project costs. This role reports to the Senior Cost Analyst and will interact with Project Engineers/Managers to validate forecast outcomes.

You will audit budgets and CABs, monitor cash position, and ensure costs align with contract documents. Candidates should have a accounting/finance-related degree and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Engineering/Construction Management or related field and 3 years of related experience
• High degree of organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Financial system applications proficiency and advanced MS Excel
• Self-starter, adaptable, and flexible to operate with minimal direction in a complex environment
• Exercise independent judgment and discretion, ability to identify problems and make recommendations for resolution
• Demonstrate leadership, strong dedication to teamwork and integrity
• Professional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assess project financial risks and report project plan to mitigate risks
• Accumulate, audit, and correlate information to produce cost reports such as BARs, CABs, and related analyses
• Audit budget reports for accuracy and reflect all costs posted to ledger
• Provide budget audit findings and ensure corrections are made
• Analyze current budget reports, holds, and unboughts
• Audit project forecast of General Conditions, General Requirements, staff and labor projections
• Participate in Operations Review Meetings with senior management
• Maintain knowledge of general contract documents and relation of estimates to contract documents
• Train and develop new Costs Analysts and project staff
• Visit jobsites to evaluate progress and conditions and review findings with management
• Review field conditions, SISs, exposures, claims and recoveries; act as bridge between Accounting and field staff
• Monitor project cash position and participate in payment application processes
• Understand SAP forecasting workbenches and contract review processes
• Establish Work Breakdown Structure for cost allocation and reconciliation
• Prepare final CAB and reconcile to final contract value and cost
• Validate final revenue before final bill submission
• Other duties as assigned
