Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a seasoned Cost Analyst to prepare financial analyses, reports, and audit forecasts to validate forecast outcomes on assigned projects. You will work with Project Engineers/Managers and Senior Cost Analysts to ensure accurate cost control.

The role involves auditing budgets, analyzing risks, and maintaining contract document knowledge while collaborating with project accounting and field teams to post costs correctly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/engineering/construction management or related field and 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination
• High degree of organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Financial system applications proficiency and advanced MS Excel
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal direction in a changing environment
• Demonstrate leadership and strong teamwork and integrity
• Professional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assess project financial risks and report project plan to mitigate risks.
• Accumulate, audit, and correlate information to produce cost reports (BARs/CABs) and interpretive analysis.
• Audit budgets and forecast accuracy, ensuring costs are posted to the ledger.
• Provide budget audit findings and support necessary corrections.
• Travel to jobsites to evaluate progress and review findings with management.
• Act as bridge between Accounting and field staff and monitor cash position.
