Qualifications

• Strong construction accounting and finance experience.
• Hands-on experience with WIP reporting, job costing, and project accounting.
• Full-cycle accounting experience: general ledger, month-end close, AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to independently own an accounting function and lead staff.
• Experience with construction financials and project-level accounting.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the company's full-cycle accounting function.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Manage and analyze WIP reporting, job costing, and project accounting.
• Monitor project financial performance, profitability, and cost-to-complete.
• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable financial insight to leadership.
• Oversee AP, AR, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
• Partner with project managers and operations teams regarding project financial performance.
• Improve accounting processes, reporting, controls, and overall financial visibility.
• Support cash flow management and banking activities.
• Assist with revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Oversee AIA/progress billing, change orders, and project-related accounting as applicable.
• Manage and develop the Bookkeeper.
• Serve as a trusted financial partner to the CFO and executive leadership team.
• Help build the accounting and finance infrastructure necessary to support continued company growth.
