Jobot in Turnersville, NJ is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to lead accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls for a growing construction company. The role requires close collaboration with leadership to support strategic objectives and ongoing growth.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years of accounting experience (construction preferred), and a CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the company's accounting and financial operations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain the accuracy of financial records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Coordinate year-end audit activities and work with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Oversee general ledger activities and month-end close processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting and reporting matters.
• Collaborate with department leaders to support company objectives.
