Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a hands-on Construction Controller in Haddonfield, NJ to lead the accounting function under the CFO. You will own end-to-end accounting, oversee WIP, job costing, and project accounting, and partner with project teams to improve financial visibility.

You will manage the accounting team, drive month-end close, and deliver insightful financial analyses to leadership. This role requires construction finance expertise and a proactive, analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong construction accounting and finance experience.
• Hands-on WIP reporting, job costing, and project accounting.
• Full-cycle accounting including GL, month-end close, AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to independently own an accounting function.
• Leadership experience and ability to develop accounting staff.
• Partner effectively with finance and operations leadership.
• Experience with revenue recognition / percentage-of-completion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full-cycle accounting function.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage and analyze WIP, job costing, and project accounting.
• Monitor project profitability and cost‑to‑complete.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts; perform variance analysis.
• Oversee AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations; support cash flow.
• Collaborate with CFO, project managers and operations.
• Lead and develop the Bookkeeper; drive process improvements.
• Support revenue recognition and AIA/progress billing.
