Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Permanent Controller to join our construction finance team in Matthews, NC. You will oversee corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and internal controls while guiding financial risk management.

You will partner with the CEO/COO and executives to direct strategy, lead the accounting team, and ensure accurate financial information across monthly, quarterly and annual cycles. Strong GAAP, ERP, and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred and 5+ years in senior finance roles within construction.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting.
• ERP systems experience and advanced Excel skills.
• Leadership experience with team development and strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting practices, budgeting, tax and audit functions.
• Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts with executives.
• Supervise cash management and investments.
• Implement internal controls and coordinate with external auditors.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team toward high performance.
